Silver Walls is an unreleased song by Marina Diamandis, possibly intended for her self-released EP, Mermaid vs. Sailor.

The song was written and produced by Marina herself.

Background[]

Silver Walls leaked on Tumblr on June 4, 2012,[1] along with ten other 2007 tracks and one 2010 cover of Perfect Stranger in a fan-made EP titled "Give Me the Money!", a line taken from Where Diamonds Grow

Official Versions[]

Note:
The song abruptly cuts off as Marina sings the word "cannonball". She has stated this is the intended ending of the song.[citation needed] A "full" version, in which she finishes the lyric, and sings a second chorus,[2][3] is a fan-made edit.

Lyrics[]

[Intro]
Ooh
Ooh

[Verse 1]
Hey man, hey man, aim your fist at me
You win, I lose 'cause you're muscly
Come on, come on and put your money
Where my mouth is, baby

[Pre-Chorus]
Of this pain I will not speak
Of the violent memories
On the silent movie screen
You have shown on repeat

[Chorus]
You are my silver, silver, silver wall
Watched me slip and you let me fall
Bigger the risk, bigger the gain
Bigger the break and the bigger the pain

[Post-Chorus]
Ow, ow, ow, whoa-ow
Ow, ow, ow, whoa-ow

[Verse 2]
Hey man, hey man, you're a superstar
I will reflect you when I fall far
Anger, anger, indescribable
Hit me like a cannonba-
